It takes a village to raise a child. The foundation of a great and strong community is strong family. This is the primary focus of Cornerstone Community Foundation Outreach Ministry. Below the focus is broken down in one work, REBUILD.
Restoring the community one family at a time.
Encouraging Families through education, advocation, empowerment, and unity.
Building families up by education them with told that lead to better and safer environments for both children and adults.
Uniting families through mentorship programs that connect young men and women with successful leaders throughout the community.
Inspiring greatness in families with a focus on entrepreneurship, business, and leadership skills within the family and the community.
Leading families and communities to work together and support one another through community events that focus on family values and discipline.
Developing the minds of young people and parents through community education programs and support.
Through the Community Education and Job Readiness Program, participants can receive tutoring, take music lessons (vocal and piano; more to come when teachers become available), Interview readiness, resume writing, and much much more.
Through United Faith Christian Fellowship’s outreach ministry, Cornerstone Community Foundation, we provide community and housing resources. We assist families with the following:
- Housing Resources
- Housing Rental Application(s)
- Food Stamps, Colorado Works, and Medicaid Application(s)
- SSI/SSDI Application, and Resources to SSI/SSDI Attorneys and Law Firms
The Guardian House Family Shelter will be offering emergency shelter to families that have a physical or mental health disability that limits movement, senses, or activity. The emergency shelter will provide 3 hot meals a day. The shelter will also provide, job training and readiness, community education classes and housing resources for all of our families.
Food justice is an inportant part of community justice. We will take donations from local businesses and use then to fight hunger. Help us connect with donors and with people in need. The community kitchen will provide hot meals throughout the day and will provide food boxes to those that need them.
